All sorts of things are going on here at camp BEWARE! like tons of recording, prep for our spring tour, and other exciting projects. No shows for the rest of 2009, we’re getting our act together and getting this record DONE!
However, some exciting BEWARE! related performances are coming up. On December 4th our own Tristan Buzzkill of the one-man band Littlefoot will be celebrating the release of his debut full-length ‘If You Give A Grouch A Guitar’ at Valentine’s (Albany, NY). Alongside him will be our own Richard Nolan and Ryan Stewart’s The Boston Celtics, who will also be releasing their new CD ‘The End of Mont Pleasant’ the same night. As if that wasn’t enough, our good friends in The Hoborchestra will be performing and releasing a new set of recordings as well. GADS! Head on over to B3nson.net for all the details!

My favorite time of the year is upon us and boy did it creep up fast! The 2nd Annual Halloween Freak-Out will be taking place this year at Valentine’s on Saturday October 31st!!! Doors are at 7:30 and we will be joined by friends Sgt Dunbar and the Hobo Banned and Sea of Trees! $5 gets you in the door for an evening of awesome music, spooky surprises and tons of candy! Must be 18 or older and costumes are mandatory (but YOU already KNEW that!). WHAP! FOK! KABOOM!
BEWARE! the Other Head of Science performs their original score to the 1925 classic silent film ‘The Lost World’ this Wednesday October 14th! This event is scheduled to take place at the Albany Public Library (Washington ave) at 7pm.
This will be unlike any other BEWARE! performance. Expect eerie atmospherics, walls of sound, re-workings of BEWARE! songs and epic stop-motion dinosaur fights.
We are pumped! We hope to see you there!
ps. It is FREE!!!

The following Saturday (September 19th) is LarkFEST, an annual FREE CONCERT thrown in Albany, NY by the city. The days events take place on or near Lark st. including 3 stages. The Main stage boasts some impressive acts this year, however, the B3nson Recording Company was give complete run of the second stage and it will most certainly rule oh-so hard. We will be performing alongside other B3nson acts: Sgt. Dunbar and the Hobo Banned, Scientific Maps, We Are Jeneric and Barons in the Attic. Not-to-mention fellow conspirator and Collar City Records dude Matthew Loiacono. In addition to the music there will be all day ‘interactive art experiences’ and prizes! Almost all of the B3nson recorded catalogue will be available, too, so this will be a great opportunity to stock up on some choice records. Barons in the Attic go on first at 11:00am! RSVP on the Facebook event.
In adding to the hype of this awesome event, B3nson is putting together a special limited edition Compilation CD featuring tracks from all the performers (most of them from upcoming releases, a few back catalogues, and some will only be available on the comp!). As well as several tracks from B3nson bands that are not performing that day. This will be your first opportunity to get a track from our upcoming record! More details on this soon.
Much love,
BEWARE!

We’ll see you there!
This past Thursday Albany’s alt-press weekly named BEWARE! best Electro-pop band in their annual ‘Best of the Capital Region’ for 2009. Schweeet. Here’s what they had to say:
“Don’t even think about asking who the original head of science is or why you shouldn’t excercise caution around him/her. Just dance. BEWARE!’s spazzy synth-pop is like a can of root beer, filled with Pop Rocks, poured down the pants of a hyperactive 7th grader. Yeah. ” -Metroland Staff
We love that Metroland writer’s never seem to have any shortage of colorful ways to describe our band! Thanks guys!
We’d also like to give a big “congrats” to our many friends who also got respective ‘Best Of’s’ including Sgt. Dunbar, We Are Jeneric, Scientific Maps, Matthew Loiacono, Phantogram, Sea of Trees, Sub Bombin’, Spillin’ the Beans (best coffee!) and Bro’s Tacos! It’s been a good year.
We hope to catch you all at one (if not two) of our upcoming shows:

Seth has been performing double duty: while we’ve been recording our upcoming album he has been hard at work on an album of his own! For those of you who don’t know, Seth has been performing under the name Littlefoot for quite some time now, and well before he began rocking with us, so new Littlefoot recordings are definitely something to be excited about! He’s posted two new tracks onto his myspace (myspace/littlefootmakessounds) “The Numbers Divide Each Other” and “For My Neighbors”. Check them out!
Hey guys,
We hope that your Independence Day plans include making a scenic trek up to (over to… down to?!) Glens Falls to catch us play at Hotshots with the Mathematicians!!! However, if you haven’t made plans yet… WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?!?!? Check it out here:
http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=198472935164
This will be a late-night dance party! So you have plenty of time to chill with your family, have a picnic, and give your dog a bath before you need to be there, so NO EXCUSES! Expect new jams!
See you there!
Love,
BEWARE!
Holy Crap! We’ve been busy! The recording process is going rather slowly, but excellently. Things are very disjointed since we’re still polishing off a couple of brand new songs, so we’ve got some drum and bass tracks here, some keyboards and guitars there, some vocals on couple of tracks, and blippy electronic embellishments everywhere. We cannot wait for it to all come together so we can share it with everyone! In the meantime, you can check us out at Solstock out in Voorheeseville, NY with Dirty Paris and Mother McCree’s on Saturday June 20th (summer solstice…duh!). Music and food all day and it’s FREEEEEEE! You cannot beat that during times of economic crisis, so make sure you are there! Then, our next shindig is yet another holiday affair: 4th of July @ Hotshots in Glens Falls with the legendary and fantastic Mathematicians! This show is gonna be a blast, it gets going at 9pm and will run you a mere $5. Unfortunately this one is 18+, so bring your ID’s and your dancing shoes! I am told that this place usually fills up pretty fast for the Mathematicians… not to mention it is a holiday and a Saturday (Hotshots shows are usually on Monday nights)… so, what I am getting at is that it would suck if you showed up LATE and then COULDN’T GET IN, so you might want to get there on time! Ok, that’s it for now, take care and we’ll see you soon!
